trav·e·logue

I came to the realization last night that I will be spending the next few months in hotels. Not fancy beach resorts, small cheap off the road type places. Where waking up everyday offers a new adventure. Where to eat. How to get a local bus into town….and back. And research where to go next. I’m on a walkabout…searching…myself and New sights. Last time I did this, in my mid 30s, before marriage and kids, was through SE Asia. 5 months. Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Travel is a bit easier now with AirBnB and Google maps. But I still hop off a bus, orient myself, and figure out what the day has to offer. Life is good.

The 3 Hour Tour

Spent the day aboard a 44 ft catamaran off of Isis Mujeres. Water was a bit murky for snorkelling. Saw some fish and an underwater sculpture garden, replicas of Chinese terra cotta warriers. Tequila and cervesa flowed for the sunset cruise. I’m tired, sore and hungover today. Being on the water with great music and happy people brought me to near tears.
