I was underwhelmed by my visit to Tulum. A popular destination for influencers, hipsters and Coachella fashionistas. The city lacked character, no public art, street musicians or food vendors. The main Boulevard consisted of souvenir shops and mediocre restaurants. Most cities have nice pavers for walkways. Not here. Crumbling cement full of weeds. Not all bad, the Mayan ruins are impressive and the cenotes are fantastic. I’m off to Playa del Carmen for 6 days. Cheers.
Recently retired and ready to travel to Mexico and Central America this Winter. I’m combining two of my passions, Photography and Travel. New adventures await!
The photo bug bit me at age 15 and was hooked when the loval newspaper published a few of my pics. Since then I’ve been part of several group exhibitions and a solo show of experiential Polaroid SX70 manipulations.
Currently my camera of choice is a Fujifilm X100F. Most images are in B&W using an infrared filter or in Pop Color mode.
